SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah football received a verbal commitment from offensive lineman Zereoue Williams.
Williams is a three-star prospect from Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix, Arizona. According to the 247Sports composite, Williams is the No. 15 ranked prospect in the state of Arizona and the 98th offensive tackle in the nation.
The 6’8, 248-pound lineman announced his decision on Twitter on Monday morning.
“2020 has been a year like no other! I started the year with my focus on basketball and decided to give football a try after talking with a couple of coaches,” Williams wrote. “Vivid (sic) shut down spring ball so I continued on my trek to fall ball, not sure if the season would even take place. Fast forward a few games and several unexpected but amazing offers to quality institutions with quality programs I am proud to announce I’ve decided to further my career as a football player… I’m excited to announce that I am committing to be a student athlete at the University of Utah.”
