Late TD Sends No. 4 Ridgeline To 4A Semifinals With Win Over No. 5 Park City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The fourth ranked Ridgeline Riverhawks advanced to the 4A semifinals with a 42-35 win over No. 5 Park City.
With less than 30 seconds left in the game, Jovesa Damuni caught the game-winning touchdown to give the Riverhawks the win. Kaden Cox threw two touchdown passes along with one from Jaden Harris, finding Evan Webb once and Damuni twice. Cox ran in a TD as did Noah White. For Park City, Brayden Beyer and Carson Tabarraci each threw a TD pass, connecting with Trond Grizzell and Troy Dela Vega. Seth Warner and Kirby Baynes each ran in a score.
Ridgeline will move on to the semifinals to battle No. 1 Sky View (11-0) on either Friday, Nov. 13 or Saturday, Nov. 14.
Here are all of the results from the quarterfinal round of the 4A state football playoffs.
No. 8 Cedar City 7 at No. 1 Sky View 35
Kasen Carlsen ran in two touchdowns to lead the Bobcats to victory. The top team in 4A also had a rushing TD fromboth Kasen Erickson and Truman Moser. Isaac Larsen returned an interception 98-yards for a touchdown. Boston Garrett found Jack Cook for Cedar City’s only touchdown of the game.
Sky View will advance to the semifinals to face No. 4 Ridgeline (9-1) on either Friday, Nov. 13 or Saturday, Nov. 14.
No. 10 Bear River 7 at No. 2 Pine View 49
Brayden Bunnell threw three touchdowns in Pine View’s win, finding Christian Bailey, Dominique McKenzie and Preston Mann once each. Bunnell ran in a touchdown as well. Enoch Takau added two rushing TD’s. McKenzie returned a kickoff 99-yards for a score. Kace Jones scored Bear River’s only touchdown.
Pine View will advance to the semifinals to face No. 3 Snow Canyon (10-1) on either Friday, Nov. 13 or Saturday, Nov. 14.
No. 6 Stansbury 19 at No. 3 Snow Canyon 20
Stansbury held a 19-14 lead entering the fourth quarter. With under seven minutes left in the game, the Warriors scored the go-ahead touchdown. Landon Frei threw three touchdowns, connecting with Jordan Wade, Logan Mendenhall and Will Warner once each. For Stansbury, Kru Huxford connected with Cayden Clark for their only touchdown through the air. Nate Bushnell added a rushing TD.
Snow Canyon will move on to the semifinals to battle No. 2 Pine View (11-1) on either Friday, Nov. 13 or Saturday, Nov. 14.
