PROVO, Utah – BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe loves Halloween. He goes all out on his annual costume for the spooky holiday.
On Friday, Holmoe unveiled his 2020 costume and in true form to this wild and crazy year, the costume featured a mask.
Holmoe celebrated Halloween 2020 as the Phantom of the Opera. You could say he is now “PhanTom” Holmoe. Get it? I’ll see myself out.

The details on Holmoe’s costume are impressive. Holmoe’s makeup artist is Jennine Hollingshaus, a member of the makeup team for BYUtv’s Studio C.
Halloween is always a fun holiday on the BYU campus. The hashtag #BYUHalloween has spawned some fun costumes over the years. Students and faculty dress up to celebrate the spooky holiday. Costumes this year have included “A bandwagon Lakers fan,” Bane from Batman, The Joker, Captain America, and the Gingerbread Man from Shrek.
