Corner Canyon Jumps Into Top 10 National High School Football Rankings

DRAPER, Utah – The Corner Canyon Chargers have cracked the top 10 of the MaxPreps national high school football rankings.
The undefeated Chargers are No. 9 in the country after finishing their regular season with a 10-0 record. They received a first round bye in the 6A state football playoffs.

IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida is the top team in the nation, followed by North Shore in Houston, Texas, St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Chandler High School in Chandler, Arizona and Grayson in Loganville, Georgia rounding out the top five.
At No. 6 is Northwestern in Miami, Florida, followed by Katy High School in Katy, Texas, Lowendes in Valdosta, Georgia, Corner Canyon and Thompson in Alabaster, Alabama.
The Chargers are currently on a 36-game winning streak dating back to 2018. They have won two straight state championships. Their last loss was on November 9, 2017 when they lost to Skyridge by one point in the 5A State Championship game.
Led by quarterback Jaxson Dart, the Chargers have outscored their opponents 465-167 in 10 games this season. Their closest game this year was against Skyridge when they pulled off a comeback three-point win.
Corner Canyon will begin their title defense on Friday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. when they host Westlake in the second round of the playoffs.
