Sky View Blasts Desert Hills, Advances To 4A Quarterfinals

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The No. 1 Sky View Bobcats moved on to the quarterfinals with a 42-12 win over the Desert Hills Thunder.
No. 16 Desert Hills 12 at No. 1 Sky View 42
After trailing 6-0 at the end of the first quarter, Sky View scored 36 unanswered points on their way to the a 30-point victory over the Thunder.
Bobcats quarterback Kasen Carlsen threw four touchdown passes in the game.
Sky View will advance to the quarterfinals to face No. 8 Cedar (7-4) on Friday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. MT.

Here are all of the results from the second round of the 4A state football playoffs.
No. 9 Dixie 0 at No. 8 Cedar 28
The No. 8 Cedar Reds blanked the Dixie Flyers 28-0 to reach the quarterfinals. Reds quarterback Jaron Garrett was responsible for all four touchdowns in the contest. Two of Garrett’s score came through the air and a pair came on the ground.
Cedar will move on to the quarterfinals to battle No. 1 Sky View (10-0) on Friday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. MT.\
No. 13 Cedar Valley 14 at No. 4 Ridgeline 64
The No. 4 Ridgeline RiverHawks blasted the Cedar Valley Aviators 64-14 to reach the quarterfinals. Kaden Cox carried the RiverHawks with six total touchdowns. Ridgeline’s Noah White added a pair of scores on the ground.
Ridgeline will advance to the quarterfinals to face No. 5 Park City (9-2) on Friday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. MT.
No. 12 Ogden 12 at No. 5 Park City 52
The Park City Miners advanced to the quarterfinals with a 52-12 performance against the Ogden Tigers. Park City held a 38-0 lead at halftime and added another 14 points in the third quarter.
Park City will move on to the quarterfinals to face No. 4 Ridgeline (8-1) on Friday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. MT.

No. 15 Crimson Cliffs 10 at No. 2 Pine View 41
The Pine View Panthers p0unced on the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs for a 42-10 victory on Friday night. Panthers quarterback Brayden Bunnell tossed a trio of touchdown passes in the win.
Pine View will advance to the quarterfinals to face No. 10 Bear River (5-5) on Friday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. MT.
No. 10 Bear River 32 at No. 7 Green Canyon 28
After trailing by nine points entering the fourth quarter, the Bear River Bears scored 13 unanswered points over the final 15 minutes to defeat the Green Canyon Wolves 32-28. Bears quarterback Kace Jones accounted for three touchdowns in the win. Green Canyon’s Jake Lundin was responsible for three scores in the Wolves’ loss.
Bear River will move on to the quarterfinals to battle No. 2 Pine View (10-1) on Friday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. MT.
No. 14 Logan 16 at No. 3 Snow Canyon 35
The No. 3 Snow Canyon Warriors handled business against the No. 14 Logan Grizzlies in a 35-16 win. After a scoreless first quarter, the Warriors took a commanding 28-0 lead at halftime. The Grizzlies were shutout until the final 15 minutes when they scored 16 points.
Snow Canyon will advance to the quarterfinals to face No. 6 Stansbury (8-2) on Friday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. MT.
No. 11 Mountain View 49 at No. 6 Stansbury 63
The No. 6 Stansbury Stallions came out on top in a 63-49 shootout with the Mountain View Bruins. Stallions quarterback Kru Huxford was responsible for six touchdowns in the win. Huxford threw three passing touchdowns and ran in another three on the ground.
Stansbury will move on to the quarterfinals to battle No. 3 Snow Canyon (9-1) on Friday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. MT.
