No. 1 Beaver Extends Winning Streak To 24 With Quarterfinal Win Over No. 8 Millard

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Beaver Beavers extended their winning streak to 24 with a 43-7 victory over No. 8 Millard in the 2A quarterfinals.
The Beavers jumped out to a 36-0 lead in the first half and didn’t look back as they remain undefeated and will advance to the semifinals. Taevin Hunter threw one touchdown pass to Statler Wright. Cobe Carter ran in three TD’s, while Crayton Hollingshead and E.J. Allred each added a rushing score. Millard’s only touchdown came late in the fourth when Braxton Bond found Eric Larsen.
Beaver will advance to the semifinals to face No. 4 Enterprise (8-3) on Saturday, Nov. 7 at noon MT at Southern Utah University.
Here are all of the results from the quarterfinal round of the 2A state football tournament.
No. 5 North Summit 8 at No. 4 Enterprise 24
Bryant Jimenez ran in two touchdowns, while Tyler Hiatt added a rushing TD for Enterprise in the win. Ty Hirzel scored North Summit’s only touchdown on the ground.
Enterprise will move on to the semifinals to battle No. 1 Beaver (11-0) on Saturday, Nov. 7 at noon MT at Southern Utah University.
No. 7 Parowan 7 at No. 2 Duchesne 30
Brock Adams ran in two touchdowns as the Eagles cruise by Parowan in the quarterfinals.
Duchesne will advance to the semifinals to face No. 6 Milford (6-6) on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 5 p.m. MT at Southern Utah University.
No. 6 Milford 35 at No. 3 Kanab 7
Milford scored a touchdown in each quarter to get the upset win over Kanab. Bo Hardy and Casek Hardy each threw a touchdown pass, finding Bret Beebe and Heston Sullivan. Casek Hardy also ran in two touchdowns. For Kanab, Michael Warino scored their only TD on the ground.
Milford will move on to the semifinals to battle No. 2 Duchesne (9-0) on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 5 p.m. MT at Southern Utah University.
