BYU Linebacker Isaiah Kaufusi Intercepts Texas State Quarterback For Pick-Six

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – BYU linebacker Isaiah Kaufusi intercepted Texas State quarterback Brady McBride and ran the ball back 32-yards for a pick-six.
The No. 12 Cougars hosted the Bobcats at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday, October 24.
The Bobcats had the ball and faced a 3rd & 16 at their own 19-yard line with 9:50 left in the third quarter when Kaufusi intercepted McBride.
Kaufusi weaved his way down the field and out of the reach of Texas State’s defense for a 32-yard touchdown.
After a made PAT, the Cougars took a 49-7 lead over the Bobcats.

It was the first pick-six by a BYU defense since 2017 vs. Utah State.
For Kaufusi, it was his fifth career interception and first of the 2020 season. It was also his first career touchdown.

After the interception, Kaufusi had five total tackles, four solo tackles, and the pick against Texas State.
