Utah Men’s Basketball Will Play Tournament In Sioux Falls Over Thanksgiving Week To Open Season

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The cancellation of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament opened the doors for the Utah Men’s Basketball team to play in the Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic during the week of Thanksgiving for their season opener.
The Battle 4 Atlantis was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The original field of that tournament, besides Duke, will now play in the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Participants in the Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic include; Dayton, Creighton, Memphis, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Utah, West Virginia and Wichita State.
The Runnin’ Utes open their tournament games against Creighton on Wednesday, November 25 at 5:00 p.m. (MT) on ESPN2.

Despite the ongoing pandemic, tickets for the game will be available at a limited basis beginning on November 1. Masks will be required for all spectators.
Last season the Utah Men’s Basketball team went 16-15 overall before their conference tournament was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
