Maple Mountain Tops Salem Hills In Double Overtime Thriller

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Maple Mountain Golden Eagles pulled out a big road win over Salem Hills, 35-28 in double overtime.
Salem Hills needed 21 points in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime, including the game-tying TD with 29 seconds left. Tyler Nelson ran in a 7-yard touchdown to give Maple Mountain the win.
For the Golden Eagles, Nelson threw three touchdowns and ran in one. He connected with Brian Bess, Cole McAllister and Johnny Kearl. Thomas Weight added a rushing touchdown.
Salem Hills had three passing touchdowns and one rushing TD from Jarret Elmer. He found Austin Hallows twice and Willie Leota once. Elmer also ran in a score on the ground.

Region 5
Bountiful 38 Viewmont 7
The Braves scored 17 points in the second quarter to begin creating separation before dropping 14 points in the third to get the blowout win. Viewmont’s lone touchdown came on the ground from Will Schultz. For Bountiful, Boston Malmrose found Bridger Morton for their only TD through the air. Corbin Cottle had two scores on the ground with Corbin Dubois adding one.
Region 6
No. 5 Brighton 52 Highland 21
The Brighton Bengals finished the regular season undefeated after blasting the Highland Rams 52-21 on Thursday night. Gabe Curtis tossed three touchdown passes in the win. Brighton ended the season at 9-0 and Highland ended at 2-6.
No. 13 Skyline 21 Olympus 28
The Skyline Eagles fell for the first time this season in a 28-21 loss to the Olympus Titans. The Eagles finished the season at 7-1 and the Titans improved to 6-4.
Region 8
Wasatch 22 Springville 19
The Wasps trailed 19-7 heading into the fourth quarter when they scored 15 unanswered points to get the three-point win. Wasatch picked up one TD pass from Adarius Edwards to Jarin Kalama. Parker North ran in two touchdowns. For Springville, Kaden DeLlamas threw a TD pass to Zackery Antonino and Seth Rigtrip ran in one.

Judge Memorial 7 Cottonwood 35
Joseph Madrigal ran in three touchdowns for the Colts. Brock Simpson had one rushing and one passing touchdown, finding Kaelen Gray.
Mountain Ridge 49 Spanish Fork 42
In a high scoring contest, Mountain Ridge needed 21 points in the fourth quarter to pick up the road win. For Mountain Ridge, Ayden Helm accounted for six touchdowns, three passing and three rushing. He connected with Kenyon Colmere, Logan Bennet and Talon Jensen each once. Cade Uluave added a score on the ground. Jacob Tutagavou threw a touchdown pass to Cade Olsen. Tutagavou also ran in two TD’s while Olsen, Josh Buck and Tubby Reupena each had one TD on the ground for Spanish Fork.
