PROVO, Utah – BYU football didn’t lose any ground in the latest Top 25 rankings released on Sunday. In fact, the Cougars moved up in one of the major Top 25 polls.
BYU moved up two spots in the latest Amway Coaches Poll and jumped one spot to No. 14 in the Associated Press Top 25.

On Saturday, BYU was a five-touchdown favorite against UTSA but only ended up defeating the upset-minded Roadrunners by a score of 27-20. That did not detract the pollsters from giving praise to BYU still.
All but one AP Top 25 voter ranked BYU in their personal Top 25 ballots. The only person to leave the 4-0 Cougars was Ryan Aber from The Oklahoman. Buff Zone’s Brian Howell in Boulder, Colorado has BYU the highest at No. 7.
BYU travels on the road this week for the first time since its opener against Navy back on Labor Day night. The Cougars will take on another set of Cougars, in Houston who received votes in this week’s AP Top 25.
Late update to The Associated Press Top 25 has BYU football up one place to No. 14 this week.

BYU is 4-0 for the first time since 2014. In that season, BYU rose to No. 18 in the AP Top 25 before losing its fifth game of the season against Utah State.
Quarterback Zach Wilson is leading the way for BYU and he’s one of the top signal-callers in the country. Wilson is fourth in the country with 1,241 passing yards this season. He only trails Pitt’s Kenny Pickett, SMU’s Shane Buechele, and Duke’s Chase Brice.
