BYU Football Honors Utah Mother Tia Stokes Who Is Fighting Cancer With #RedForTia Day

PROVO, Utah – Tia Stokes of Provo, a mother of five, has gone through a lot in 2020. The wife to Timpview High School football coach Andy Stokes was diagnosed this year with leukemia. Then weeks ago, Tia tested positive for COVID-19, has pneumonia, and is still battling the novel virus to this day.
Throughout all the trials Tia continues to face in her battle with leukemia, Stokes always maintains a positive outlook on life. She shows that positivity by uplifting others through her social media platforms which have gained thousands, even millions of followers on networks such as TikTok and Instagram while chronicling her battle with cancer.

Tia’s supporters and fans on social media created a day to celebrate Stokes called, “#RedForTia” on October 7th, 2020. Red is Tia’s favorite color.
BYU football, who typically wear blue & white, donned some red to support Tia on her special day.
