SANDY, Utah – Utah Royals FC forward Amy Rodriguez gave the home side a lead early in their regular season home finale.
In the 9th minute, Rodriguez was fortunate to be at the right place at the right time. A teammate attempted a shot at the Portland Thorns goalkeeper when the ball was deflected and landed at the feet or Rodriguez who just had to tap the ball into the back of the net.
That gave the Royals a 1-0 lead in the first 9 minutes of the match.
