Kearns Moves Into Top Five In Latest KSLSports.com Game Night Live Power Rankings

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Kearns Cougars moved into the top five with its seventh win of the season.

The Corner Canyon Chargers remained atop the rankings for the eighth straight week after winning their 33rd straight game with a comeback victory over the Lone Peak Knights.

Nine teams in the top 20 have undefeated records.

Each week the KSL Sports team votes on the top 20 schools in the state across all classifications.

Here is the Game Night Live Top 20 power rankings in the state of Utah as voted on by the KSL Sports team entering the eighth week of the season.

20. Park City Miners (5-2)

The Miners moved into the rankings with their fourth straight win. Park City defeated Mountain View 60-30 to pick up its fifth win of the season.

19. Snow Canyon Warriors (6-0)

The Warriors jumped into the rankings with their sixth win of the season. Snow Canyon defeated Dixie 35-33 to remain undefeated on the year.

18. Beaver Beavers (7-0)

The Beavers won their seventh game of the season with a 52-3 result against Enterprise. Beaver has three games remaining on its regular season schedule.

17. Ridgeline RiverHawks (5-1)

After losing its first game of the season, Ridgeline beat Logan 52-22 to pick up win No. 5 this season. The RiverHawks have three games left on their regular season schedule.

16. Skyline Eagles (6-0)

Skyline did not play last week after its game against Brighton was canceled due to COVID-19. Despite not playing, the Eagles dropped three spots.

15. Wasatch Wasps (6-1)

The Wasps grabbed their third straight victory with a 30-20 over the Provo Bulldogs. Wasatch has two games left on its regular season schedule.

14. Bonneville Lakers (6-1)

The Bonneville Lakers picked up their fifth consecutive win with a 24-17 win over Woods Cross. The Lakers have two games remaining on their regular season schedule.

13. Timpview Thunderbirds (3-3)

After losing the first three games of the season, the Thunderbirds won their third straight contest with a 28-14 victory over previously ranked Lehi.

12. Orem Tigers (3-2)

The Tigers haven’t played since their 24-7 loss to the Lone Peak Knights on September 11.

11. Bingham Miners (4-2)

The Miners picked up their fourth consecutive win with a 29-28 victory over East. Bingham has three games remaining on its regular season schedule.

10. Pleasant Grove Vikings (5-2)

The Pleasant Grove Vikings dropped their second straight game in a 35-7 loss to Skyridge. Before losing their last two contests, the Vikings had won five straight games to start the season.

9. Davis Darts (6-1)

The Darts bounced back from their first loss of the season with a 42-6 win over Syracuse. It was Davis’ sixth win of the season.

8. Sky View Bobcats (7-0)

The Bobcats picked up their seventh victory of the season with a 29-0 shutout against Mountain Crest. Sky View has won five of its seven games by more than two possessions.

7. American Fork Cavemen (6-1)

4. Roy Royals (7-0)

The Roy Royals improved to 7-0 with a 50-31 win over Northridge. Roy remained at No. 4 in the top 20 rankings.

3. Lone Peak Knights (6-1)

After taking an early lead against the Corner Canyon Chargers, the Knights ended up losing the competitive matchup 35-25. It was Lone Peak’s first loss of the season. Despite the defeat, the Knights remained at No. 3.
