PROVO, Utah – BYU kept pouring points onto the scoreboard after quarterback Zach Wilson threw a 70-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Dax Milne.
It was the first TD connection of the season between Wilson and Milne. The two-play drive put BYU ahead of Troy 31-7 with 14:27 remaining in the third quarter.
Lots of career firsts from that play for Zach Wilson and Kalani Sitake. That put Wilson up to 331 yards which is a career-high.

That TD catch from Milne put him over the century mark, joining Gunner Romney who was already over 100 yards receiving by halftime. It’s the first time in the Kalani Sitake era that a pair of BYU receivers have over 100 receiving yards in the same game.
First time in the Kalani Sitake era that #BYU has a pair of 100-yard receivers in a single game. Milne (124) and Romney (101). Still two quarters remaining.#TROYvsBYU @kslsports

Wilson threw to seven different targets at that point. Milne and Wilson are childhood friends. Wilson from Draper and Corner Canyon High School and Milne from South Jordan and Bingham High School grew up playing junior Jazz together. In the season opening win over Navy on Labor Day, Milne caught three passes for 35 yards. Against Troy, Milne caught 6 passes for 128 yards and one touchdown, while rushing for six yards on two carries.
