The drive started on BYU’s own 36-yard line but they moved quickly with a 23 yard run by Lopini Katoa. After a one-yard run by Dax Milne, Zach Wilson connected with Milne through the air for 11-yards.
Running back Tyler Allgeier busted out a 24-yard run on a pass from Wilson to set the Cougars up in the red zone. After short gains of two yards apiece from Wilson and Allgeier, Katoa couldn’t get into the end zone on third and goal. Kalani Sitake decided to go for it and it paid off when Wilson did a simple fullback hand off and Wake ran into the end zone.
Wake dreamed of playing for Boise State as a kid but ended up at BYU as a walk-on. He also plays tight end as well as fullback.
