East High School Senior Awarded Scholarship After Thriving In Classroom, Multiple Sports

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – University Federal Credit Union awarded East High School Senior Sua Tafisi a scholarship for his academic and athletic achievements during his high school career.
The East senior was awarded the sixth scholarship given out by University Federal Credit Union this season. Tafisi was awarded a $500 scholarship.
Every week during the high school football season, a scholarship will be awarded to a student-athlete.
During his high school career, Tafisi has achieved a 3.85 GPA while balancing his academic and athletic obligations.

Tafisi is a captain on the high school’s wrestling team and is a leader for his peers. Tafisi is also a member of the football and lacrosse teams.
Tafisi also acts as a Student Body Officer where he represents the student body proudly.
Although he is unclear as to what college he attends, he does have a pretty good idea as to what he plans on studying.
“I hope to major in physics with the goal to become a mechanical engineer,” Tafisi said.
Whatever the future holds for Tafisi, one thing is certain, his future is bright. The young, happy and loving East senior is excited for the future the possibilities that may arise.
