Green Canyon Stuns Bear River With Game-Winning Touchdown In Final Seconds

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Green Canyon Wolves won in a thriller against the Bear Rivers Bears on Friday night.
Green Canyon 27 Bear River 26
The Bears took a 26-20 lead over the Wolves with 3:16 left to play.
Green Canyon quarterback Jake Lundin hit Caden Stuart with the game-winning touchdown pass with eight seconds left on the clock to tie the game.
Tyler Gerber’s extra point gave the Wolves the one-point advantage and the win.
Green Canyon improved to 4-3 this season and Bear River moved to 3-4 on the year.

Region 9
Canyon View 16 Cedar City 64
The Cedar City Reds blasted the Canyon View Falcons 64-16 on Friday. Cedar City scored at least two touchdowns in every quarter in the rout. The Falcons were shutout in the second half. The Reds moved to 4-3 on the year and the Falcons fell to 3-4 with their fourth straight loss.

Crimson Cliffs 7 Pine View 21
The Pine View Panthers pitched a shutout during the first three quarters of play on their way to beating the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs 21-7 on Friday. The Panthers scored a touchdown in each of the first three quarters and limited the Mustangs to one touchdown in the final minutes of the game. Pine View quarterback Brayden Bunnell scored a pair of touchdowns in the win. The Panthers improved to 6-1 and the Mustangs fell to 3-3.
Desert Hills 34 Hurricane 6
The Desert Hills Thunder stormed to a 34-6 win over the Hurricane Tigers on Friday evening. After scoring on a touchdown in the first quarter, the Tigers were held scoreless over the final three quarters of action. Desert Hills’ Noah Fuailetolo scored three touchdowns in the win. The Thunder improved to 2-5 on the year and the Tigers fell to 1-6.
Dixie 33 Snow Canyon 35
The Snow Canyon Warriors held off a late comeback attempt by the Dixie Flyers to escape with a 35-33 win on Friday. The Flyers outscored the Warriors 12-0 in the fourth quarter but it wasn’t enough to overcome Snow Canyon’s big third quarter. The Warriors scored 15 unanswered points in the third quarter which propelled them to victory. Snow Canyon’s Landon Frei was responsible for four touchdowns in the win. The Warriors remained undefeated and improved to 6-0 on the season and the Flyers fell to 3-4.
Region 10
Ben Lomond 7 Stansbury 70
The Stansbury Stallions trampled the Ben Lomond Scots 70-7 on Friday night. Stansbury scored 63 straight points before Ben Lomond prevented a shutout late in the fourth quarter. Stallions quarterback Kru Huxford was responsible for five touchdowns, two through the air and three on the ground. Stansbury improved to 5-2 with the win. Ben Lomond dropped to 2-5 this season.

Mountain View 30 Park City 60
The Park City Miners doubled up the Mountain View Bruins 60-30 on Friday. Park City’s Carson Tabarraci had four rushing touchdowns and Miners quarterback Chase Beyer tossed three touchdowns in the win. The Miners improved to 5-2 with their fourth straight win and the Bruins dropped to 5-2.
Ogden 28 Uintah 14
The Ogden Tigers went on the road and picked up a 28-14 win over the Uintah Utes on Friday night. Ogden’s Enrique Gomez, Isaac Wilson, and Logan Shobe each scored a touchdown in the game. The Tigers improve to 5-2 and the Utes fell to 0-7.
Tooele 21 Cedar Valley 23
The Cedar Valley Aviators held off a late comeback attempt by the Tooele Buffaloes to earn a 23-21 win on Friday. Aviators quarterback Payton Weber tossed two touchdowns passes in the win. Cedar Valley improved to 4-3 with the win and Tooele fell to 1-6.
Region 11
Logan 22 No. 19 Ridgeline 52
The No. 19 Ridgeline RiverHawks blasted the Logan Grizzlies 52-22 on Friday evening. The RiverHawks owned a 38-0 lead at halftime and rode the big lead to victory. Ridgeline quarterback Kaden Cox threw three touchdown passes in the contest. The RiverHawks improved to 5-1 with the win and the Grizzlies dropped to 3-4.
Mountain Crest 0 No. 9 Sky View 29
The No. 9 Sky View Bobcats cruised to a 29-0 shutout over the Mountain Crest Mustangs on Friday. The Bobcats scored a pair of touchdowns in the first and fourth quarters on their way to a big win. Bobcats quarterback Kasen Carlsen scored all four touchdowns in the win, two through the air and two on the ground. Sky View remained undefeated and improved to 7-0 while Mountain Crest dropped to 1-6 this season.
