Tony Finau Drops Out Of Top 20 Following Third Round Of U.S. Open

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Tony Finau struggled in his third round of the U.S. Open on Saturday, finishing with a score of 73 (+3) for the day.
Entering the third round after making the cut, Finau was in 17th place on the leaderboard after going +3 in the second round. Finau is now +5 for the tournament and is tied for 23rd.
Matthew Wolff is the current leader at -5 after finishing the third round with a 65 (par 70) -4 score. He entered the third round even par.

Finau’s Round
Finau started the third round with a par on the first hole, followed by a birdie. After five straight pars, Finau picked up his first bogey on No. 8. He ended the front-nine with a par and was even for the round. Going into the back-nine, Finau made a birdie on No. 10 but scored a bogey on No. 11.
He made par on No. 12 before getting another bogey on the 13th hole. Finau continued the pattern with a par on No. 14 and a bogey on the 15th hole. He made par on both 16 and 17 before ending the back-nine with a bogey and a +3 score.
