SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Tony Finau continues to make progress up the leaderboard at the US Open in the midst of his second round as he currently sits three shots behind the leader Justin Thomas who won’t tee off until midday on Friday.
The round began on the 10th tee box for Finau who was able to par the first three holes of his second round.

Then, it started to get interesting. Finau birdied the par-three 13th, bogeyed the 14th and birdied the 15th. Within a three-hole stretch, Finau would conclude the rollercoaster ride at one-under-par.
Finau would make three par’s on the trot to make the turn at two-under-par.
The weather conditions suit the players on Friday morning with winds settling around seven miles per hour, although the winds are picking up out of the north which will dry out the greens much faster than yesterday.
