Jacksonville Jaguars Sign Former Utah Cornerback Josh Nurse

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah cornerback Josh Nurse signed a free agent contract with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars following the first Sunday of the 2020 season.
On Monday, September 14, Nurse’s signing was announced by NFL agent Evan Brennan of United Athlete Sports Agency with a post on social media.
Nurse is represent by UA Sports.
Later on Monday afternoon, the Jaguars confirmed the cornerback’s addition to the roster.

Shortly after going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, the cornerback signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens waived Nurse shortly before the start of the season.

The 6-foot-3 cornerback out of Utah made a couple plays in camp before he suffered an injury and missed a few days. He was back on the field this week and should be a practice squad consideration.

Nurse signed with a 1-0 Jacksonville team that defeated the Indianapolis Colts 27-20 in the team’s season-opener on September 13.
Josh Nurse’s career at Utah
The Fayetteville, Georgia native joined Utah in 2017 as a junior college transfer from Blinn College.

In 2017, Nurse played in 12 games. He joined the Utes as a wide receiver before moving to defense.
The following season, the corner played in all 14 games on special teams and 4 games on defense.
As a senior in 2019, Nurse played in all 14 of Utah’s games, including 10 starts at right corner. He recorded 27 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack and 6 pass breakups.
