Green Canyon High School Senior Overcomes Odds, Rewarded With Scholarship

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – University Federal Credit Union awarded Green Canyon High School Senior Calvin Felts a scholarship for his academic and athletic achievements during his high school career.
The Green Canyon senior was awarded the fourth scholarship given out by University Federal Credit Union this season. Hernandez was awarded a $500 scholarship.
Every week during the high school football season, a scholarship will be awarded to a student-athlete.
During his high school career, Felt has achieved a 3.94 GPA while also posting a 27 on the ACT test.

Felt is an avid tennis player and hopes to take his tennis talents to Utah State University when his high school career comes to an end.
His existence on earth has been hard-fought as Felt’s was born with a cleft palette; he is hearing impaired. Because of this, he has undergone numerous surgeries and speech therapy.
It has not held him back, however, Felt’s continues to define the odds and succeed in anything that he does. His future at Utah State University and beyond is bright.
