Real Salt Lake’s Albert Rusnák Ices Match Against LAFC With Late Goal On Penalty Kick

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake midfielder Albert Rusnák put the match away with a penalty kick goal against Los Angeles FC.
RSL hosted LAFC at Rio Tinto Stadium on Wednesday, September 9.
In the 79th minute of play, LAFC’s Jordan Harvey committed a hand ball penalty.
Rusnák took the penatly kick and buried in the back of the net with a right footed shot to the bottom left corner of the goal. The score put RSL up 3-0 over the visiting club.

The goal was Rusnák’s second of the 2020 MLS season.
Rusnák entered the match against LAFC with 1 goal on 14 shots, including 4 shots on goal.

Real Salt Lake’s first score of the match came during the ninth minute of action when Maikel Chang found Damir Kreilach inside the box. Kreilach knocked in the header for a 1-0 lead.
Justin Meram scored RSL’s second goal of the match earlier in the second half on a close range chip shot.
The 3-0 result earned RSL three points and improved the club’s win total to three in 2020. It was also Real Salt Lake’s first ever regular season victory over LAFC.
