Utah Royals FC Forward Christen Press Signs With Manchester United

SANDY, Utah – Utah Royals FC announced that forward Christen Press has signed a contract with Manchester United in the FA Women’s Super League.
The Royals will retain the rights to Press in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
Press was acquired by the Royals in a deal with the Chicago Red Stars on June 18, 2018.

The Stanford star scored 71 goals in 98 appearances in college. She began her professional career with the Pali Blues, a USL Women’s team. In 2011, Press joined MagicJack which was a member of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS). After one season, she joined Kopparbergs/Goteborg FC in Sweden. She then played two seasons with Tyreso FF in Sweden before joining the Red Stars in 2014. After three seasons in Chicago, Press signed with Kopparbergs/Goteborg FC again while being acquired by the Royals.
In two and a half seasons with Utah, Press appeared in 25 games while scoring 10 goals.
She made her United States Women’s National Team debut in 2013. Since then, she has played in 138 games while scoring 58 goals. Press has been a member of the national team that won two World Cups.
