Five Weber State Football Players Named FCS Preseason All-Americans

OGDEN, Utah – Five Weber State football players have been named Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-Americans.
FCS released their full list of preseason All-Americans on Tuesday that includes three teams of All-Americans.
Here is the five Weber State players that made the list.

First Team
Junior running back Josh Davis is a two-time All-American and two time first team All-Big Sky honors. He ranks fifth in school history with 2,498 career rushing yards and 20 touchdowns. Davis won the Jerry Rice Award after the 2018 season as the National Freshman of the Year.
Ty Whitworth will be a senior for the Wildcats in 2020. He has earned first team All-Big Sky honors in each of the last two seasons. Whitworth has started all 42 games of his Wildcat career.
Second Team
Trey Tuttle is entering his senior season with Weber State. The two-time All-American has been a All-Big Sky selection three times. He has made 61 field goals which is second-most in Weber State history. Tuttle needs seven more field goals to become the all-time leader.
Jared Schiess earned first-team All-Big Sky honors last season. Entering his senior year, the Manti, Utah native has played in 41 career games and has racked up 4.5 sacks and 21.5 tackles for loss.
Third Team
Rashid Shaheed was named to the third team as a punt returner. The incoming senior was named an All-American twice along with All-Big Sky honors. In 35 career games, Shaheed is the Wildcats’ all-time leader in kickoff return yards average at 29.1 and a school-record four touchdowns.
Weber State’s fall season was canceled after the Big Sky Conference decided to postpone fall sports.
