Utah Jazz Gaming’s Jelani ‘Comp’ Mitchell Named NBA 2K League Coach of the Year

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The NBA 2K League named Utah Jazz Gaming’s Jelani “Comp” Mitchell the 2020 NBA 2K League Coach of the Year.
Mitchell was named as the award’s honoree on Saturday, August 22.
His selection was decided in a vote by players, coaches, team managers, and media.
“Our team has made incredible strides under ‘Comp’s’ leadership, which is a testament to his immense knowledge of the game, tireless dedication to the team and continued commitment to our players,” said Jonathan Rinehart, managing director of Jazz Gaming. “I’m proud to see Jelani’s efforts recognized and rewarded with this well-deserved honor from the league and his peers.”

In Mitchell’s second season with Jazz Gaming, he guided the team to a 14-2 regular season record. The record was the best mark in franchise history and earned Jazz Gaming the No. 2 seed in the postseason.
