Mike Conley Ends First Half With Impressive Step-Back Three Over Nuggets Big Man

ORLANDO, Fla. – Utah Jazz guard Mike Conley ended the first half with a smooth three-pointer over a Denver Nuggets big man.

With the shot clock and game clock running down, Conley received a screen that switch Denver star Nikola Jokic onto Conley. “Mountain Mike” dribbled towards the basket before stepping back and drilling a three-pointer over the seven-footer.
Utah had a 59-42 lead at the halftime break after leading by as many as 25 in the first half. The Jazz outscored the Nuggets 34-28 in the second quarter after taking a 25-14 lead after the first quarter.
Conley finished the first half with 14 points and 3 assists on 5 of 6 shooting from the field and a perfect 4 for 4 from the three-point line in 15 minutes on the floor.

Early in the second quarter, Conley made back-to-back three-pointers to help the Jazz reach the 25-point lead.

It’s Conley’s first game of the postseason as a member of the Jazz. He missed the first two games of the series after leaving the NBA bubble to be with his wife for the birth of their son. Conley returned to the bubble on Monday and completed his four-day quarantine without a positive COVID-19 test and was able to return for Game 3. The series is tied at one game apiece.
