SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz announced that the team will be without four players to begin the first-round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets.
The Jazz and Nuggets will open their series on Monday, August 17 at 11:30 a.m. (MDT).
Utah said on Sunday, August 16, that the following players will not be available for Jazz head coach Quin Snyder in the first game vs. Denver:
- Mike Conley (not with the Jazz in order to be with his wife for the birth of their son)
- Ed Davis (left knee MCL injury)
- Justin Wright-Foreman (not with team)
- Bojan Bogdanovic (not with team as he recovers from surgery on his right wrist)

Earlier on Sunday, the Jazz announced that Conley left the NBA bubble to be with his wife, Mary, for the birth of the couple’s son. The point guard’s departure was an expected one but also somewhat of a surprise. Conley’s wife had a due date of August 27. If Conley returns to the bubble, he will be expected to follow league protocols and quarantine himself before rejoining the Jazz.
Davis suffered an injury during the first half of Utah’s final seeding game against the San Antonio Spurs on August 13. The Jazz center will reportedly be evaluated “in a few weeks.”
KSL Sports’ Ben Anderson reported that Wright-Foreman is no longer with the Jazz after the team replaced the guard’s spot inside the bubble with assistant coach Jeff Watkinson. Each NBA team is limited to the number of individuals allowed inside the bubble.
The Utah Jazz are reporting that Ed Davis has a left MCL injury and will be re-evaluated in a few weeks.
Justin Wright-Foreman left the NBa bubble so the Jazz could bring in in assistant coach Jeff Watkinson.
