Former Utah F Kyle Kuzma Nails Game-Winning Three-Pointer For Lakers

ORLANDO, Fla. – Former Utah Utes and current Los Angeles Lakers forward made the game-winning three-pointer to give the Lakers a 124-121 win over the Denver Nuggets.
The game was tied at 121 with 4.1 seconds left. LeBron James threw the ball into the post to Anthony Davis. Kuzma blasted past Davis to the three-point line where AD threw it to Kuzma who fired the three-pointer, giving the Nuggets just 0.4 seconds to tie the game.
Kuzma finished with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals on 11 of 16 shooting from the field and 3 for 5 from downtown.

Kuzma got the start for the Lakers alongside Danny Green in the backcourt. LeBron James led the team with 29 points and 12 assists. Davis added 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The trio combined for 81 of the Lakers’ 124 points.
The former Ute is averaging 12.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game this season. In the NBA bubble, Kuzma has stepped up his game, posting 15.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.

The Lakers are 52-18 on the season and 3-4 in the reseeding games. They have already clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference when they beat the Utah Jazz on August 3.
Los Angeles will close out the reseeding portion of the NBA restart on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. MT against the Sacramento Kings.
