No. 1 Corner Canyon Opens Season With Dominating Win Over No. 18 Farmington

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The defending 6A Champion Corner Canyon Chargers did not let off the gas pedal in the first half and it all started with their new quarterback Jaxson Dart.
Dart finished with five total touchdowns, three passing and two rushing. All three passing touchdowns were to three different receivers. Noah Kjar, Cody Hagen and Talmage Handley each hauled in a receiving score. Austin Bell added two rushing touchdowns.
Farmington scored their three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Toone Cannon, Drew Patterson and Boston Reinhold each ran in a touchdown for the Phoenix.

Non-Region
Bonneville 34 at Hunter 23
Mone Tauteoli scored first for Hunter to give them a 6-0 lead. Bonneville scored the next 34 points with Kamen Best throwing four touchdowns and running in one during that stretch. Carson Jones caught two TD’s while Kord Shaw and Mason Koopmans each caught one score. Hunter scored two touchdowns and got a safety but came up short of a comeback.
Granger 28 at No. 17 Syracuse 24
The Titans started the game red-hot with 17 points in the opening quarter. Granger answered with two touchdowns in the second quarter. Syracuse scored for the final time towards the end of the first half. The Lancers trailed Syracuse 24-14 before scoring two touchdowns in the second half and shut down the Titans’ offense on their way to the upset win.
Kadius Fuimaono ran in two touchdowns for the Lancers. Three different Syracuse players found the end zone, including a 24-yard fumble recovery returned for a touchdown by Jake Metcalfe.
No. 13 Lehi 0 at No. 3 American Fork 55
It was all American Fork in this game, particularly in the first three quarters. The Cavemen scored 27 points in the first quarter and 14 points in both the second and third quarters while pitching the shutout defensively.
Spike Adams had two rushing touchdowns, while Maddux Madsen threw five touchdown passes to Will Zundel, Fisher Ingersoll, Noah Moeaki twice and Joe Togisala. Ingersoll also had a 20-yard pick-six in the third quarter.
No. 9 Pleasant Grove 35 at Riverton 7
The ninth-ranked Vikings started the game with a touchdown from Aaron Jones. The second quarter was a big one for Pleasant Grove with 21 points and Peter and Rex Connors each ran in a touchdown. Isaac Doman threw a 53-yard TD pass to Brooks Winterton.
PG scored their final TD of the game with Darrius Clemons finding the end zone. Riverton scored their lone touchdown in the third quarter when Jaxon Howard found Braden Woodruff for a 7-yard score.

No. 20 Roy 49 at Jordan 7
The Royals dropped 28 points in the opening quarter of play with two straight touchdowns from Cade Harris. In the second quarter, Roy posted 21 points, scoring all 49 points in the first half. Izzy Gordon also had two touchdowns while Preston Anderson ran in a 22-yard TD. Parker Kingston threw one touchdown pass. Colby Dickson had a 19-yard pick-six.
Jordan scored their lone touchdown in the fourth quarter when Colton Austin ran in an 8-yard TD.
Snow Canyon 42 at Cyprus 0
Snow Canyon started strong with two touchdowns on the ground from Tyden Morris and Bretton Stone. They poured on 28 points in the second quarter to take a 35-point halftime lead. In the third quarter, Snow Canyon scored one more touchdown and finished the shutout on the road against the Pirates.
Stone and Bo Hickman each ran in two rushing touchdowns in the victory.
Taylorsville 6 at Copper Hills 32
Taylorsville scored the first touchdown of the game when Humani Wolfgramm ran in a four-yard TD. That was the last time the Warriors would score. Copper Hills answered with one a fumble recovery by Morgan Pommerening and returning it 18-yards for a touchdown. Tommy Peake had back-to-back rushing touchdowns in the second quarter. After a scoreless third quarter, Kolianitioni Lemau had two rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
Viewmont 13 at Northridge 10
Northridge started the game with a 20-yard touchdown pass from Famous Williams to Josh Polglase. Viewmont responded with a 3-yard TD run by Will Schultz in the third quarter. Start of the fourth quarter, Zach Smith made a field goal to put Northridge up by three. With just over nine minutes remaining in the game, Bracken Everson ran in a four-yard touchdown to give Viewmont the lead and eventually the win.
Weber at No. 2 Bingham
This game was canceled after three Bingham players tested positive for COVID-19.
West 27 at Clearfield 25
In a back and forth game, West was able to squeak out the win. Clearfield scored first with a Bransen Simper TD pass to Gage Dicus. West scored 20 unanswered points, including touchdown runs by Clarence Bird Butler and Carson Lopati. Late in the second quarter, Dicus caught his second TD pass, this time from Shaydn Stoker to pull within eight points. West scored a crucial touchdown in the third quarter with a 25-yard run from Sesi Vailahi. Shaydn Stoker and Ty Ha’o each scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter but the comeback came up short.
