Former Utah Utes Safety Terrell Burgess Officially Signs Contract With Los Angeles Rams

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah Utes and current Los Angeles Rams safety Terrell Burgess signed his first pro contract and officially became a member of the Southern California franchise.
Burgess confirmed his signing with a social media post on Monday, July 27.

According to Spotrac, Burgess’ rookie deal is worth nearly $4.5 million over four seasons.
He reportedly received a guarantee of $832,296 and a signing bonus of the same amount.

The Rams picked the former Utah safety with the 104th overall pick during the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Terrell Burgess’ Utah Career
The San Marcos, California native appeared in four games during his first season with the Utes in 2016.
Burgess played in all 13 games the following season, including one start on defense. He finished his sophomore campaign with 18 tackles and a tackle for loss.
As a junior in 2018, Burgess appeared in all 14 of Utah’s games. He started two games. Burgess recorded 16 tackles and 3 pass breakups that year.
Last season, Burgess finished the 2019 campaign with 81 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 2 fumble recoveries, 5 pass breakups, and an interception. He started in 14 games at strong safety. Burgess was named a Pac-12 Honorable Mention as a senior.
