Utah Jazz Center Rudy Gobert Opens Game Against Miami Heat With Pair Of Dunks, Massive Block
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert started the game against the Miami Heat with a couple of slam dunks and a big block.
Gobert and the Jazz faced the Heat in the second of Utah’s three scrimmages prior to the restart of the 2019-20 season at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
After having a quiet game on offense in the first scrimmage vs. the Phoenix Suns, Utah’s All-Star big man began the contest vs. Miami by quickly putting his mark on offense with a pair of jams.
He also swatted an early Miami shot which led to a Jazz basket on the other end of the court.
Gobert’s good start helped Utah to an early 8-4 lead in the first quarter.
Gobert ended the opening quarter with 11 points on 4-4 field goals and 3-4 from the free throw line. He added 5 rebounds and a block. Gobert recorded a +6 plus-minus rating in seven minutes of action.
The Jazz held a 28-25 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
Utah’s scrimmage is against Miami will broadcast on tape delay on Saturday, July 25 at 7 p.m. (MDT) on AT&T SportsNet.
