Utah Football 2021 Commit Kolinu’u Faaiu, Five Locals Selected As Polynesian Bowl All-Stars

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah 2021 commit Kolinu’u Faaiu and five high school players from the state of Utah has been selected as a Polynesian Bowl All-Star.
Faaiu is a 6’4, 235-pound offensive lineman from Bothell, Washington. He is a three-star recruit that is ranked No. 44 among offensive guards and the 13th ranked prospect in the state of Washington.
Utah’s offensive line coach Jim Harding was the primary recruiter for Faaiu who received offers from many schools including Boise State, Colorado, Hawai’i, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan State, Nevada, UNLV and Washington State.

Local High Schools Stars Selected
Other than Faai’u, the state of Utah had five players from the state of Utah that were selected to the Polynesian Bowl. Four-star offensive lineman Kingsley Suamataia from Orem High School, Timpview defensive end Logan Fano, East defensive tackle Voi Tunuufi, Pleasant Grove tight end Isaac Vaha and Timpview cornerback Raider Damuni were selected to the Polynesian Bowl.
Suamataia, Fano and Vaha have not committed to a school yet.
Tunuufi verbally committed to Washington and Damuni committed to BYU.
2020 Polynesian Bowl
Three Utah recruits were invited to the 2020 Polynesian Bowl including linebacker Sione Fotu, safety Kamo’i Latu and offensive lineman Solatoa Moea’i.
Four BYU signees were invited to the game last year which included quarterback Sol-Jay Maiava, linebacker Alex Muti, safety Logan Pilli and linebacker Bodie Schoonover.
Three more players from the state of Utah also participated in the 2020 game. UCLA commit and Skyridge defensive end Ioholani Raass, Oregon signee and Orem linebacker Noah Sewell and Orem wide receiver and Washington signee Puka Nacua are the local prep stars from last year that played in the Polynesian Bowl.
