Former Utah DE Bradlee Anae Agrees To Rookie Contract With Dallas Cowboys

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah defensive end Bradlee Anae has agreed to his rookie contract with the Dallas Cowboys.
Anae was taken by the Cowboys in the fifth round with the 179th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Anae is the fourth Ute that was taken in the 2020 NFL Draft to agree to a contract. He joined Zack Moss, Julian Blackmon and John Penisini as former Utes that have inked deals with their teams. Only Jaylon Johnson (Chicago Bears), Terrell Burgess (Los Angeles Rams) and Leki Fotu (Arizona Cardinals) still haven’t agreed to a contract.
According to Spotrac, Anae will make $3,532,772 over the course of his four-year contract. His signing bonus is worth $237,772.

Bradlee Anae’s Collegiate Career
The Laie, Hawaii native had a very successful career at Utah. His freshman season in 2016, Anae played in six games and picked up two sacks.
Anae’s sophomore season in 2017 saw him play in 13 games with 10 starts. He racked up 7 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries.
In 2018, Anae led the Pac-12 with 8 sacks to go with his 15.5 tackles for loss in 14 starts. He was named first team All-Pac-12.
Last season in 2019 as a senior, Anae exploded for 13 sacks and 14 tackles for loss which led to being named an All-American and first team All-Pac-12.
Anae broke the school record for most career sacks with 30. He also won the Morris Trophy.
