SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz won’t be wearing their much-maligned yellow “statement” jerseys when they return to basketball in Orlando. The team released their eight-game jersey schedule and it includes only four of the five available uniform combinations.
The Jazz will be wearing their traditional “association” jersey when they reopen the NBA season on July 30 against the New Orleans Pelicans.
In total, the team will wear the “association” jersey three times, the gradient “city” jersey twice, the purple mountain “classic” jersey twice, and the blue “icon” jersey once during the close to the regular season. The team has not released a playoff jersey schedule.

The Jazz last wore the yellow “statement” jerseys on February 21, a deflating 113-104 home loss to the San Antonio Spurs. The team was scheduled to wear the jerseys four more times before the season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Twitter account @JazzUniTracker monitors the team’s record this season based on which jersey they’ve worn. The team is a lowly 1-7 this season while wearing the “statement” jersey, or a .125 winning percentage.
Meanwhile, the Jazz are 40-16 in games when they wear any other jersey style, for a winning percentage of .714.
Not sure any of this matters since we’re so removed from the season, but here’s a refresher on the #JazzJerseyRecord as we prep for the final 8 games:

Head coach Quin Snyder jokingly admitted that the team was aware of the yellow uniform curse.
“Our yellow uniforms?” Snyder said after the Jazz February loss to the Spurs. “Yeah, we’re not wearing them anymore.”
Privately, sources told KSL Sports that Jazz players were aware of the record in the uniforms and had asked to take them out of the jersey rotation.

The Jazz will retake the floor in a scrimmage game against the Phoenix Suns on July 23. The team will also face the Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets before officially returning to regular-season games.
