SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Professional golfer Tony Finau broke his own course record for a round at Victory Ranch Golf Club in Park City.

Finau is not playing this week’s PGA Tour event and spent time playing in Utah.

On Friday, July 10, Finau posted on social media that shot his second-ever round under 60 and three strokes better than his Victory Ranch GC record of 62.

“Shooting in the 50s is rare and I’ll take em when I can get em,” Finau posted via an Instagram Story. “Side note to that round. I played the ball as it lies in every situation and finished everything. No covid rules. True course records are from tips and no gimmies.”

Finau sat at 14-under after 16 holes. He bogeyed the 17th hole. “250 yard par 3 in my defense,” Finau posted on his Instagram Story.

On Saturday, Finau reportedly recorded a clubhead speed of 206 MPH on a swing during a round at the Park City course.

Through 13 events in 2020, he was earned $1,568,511.00, according to ESPN.
