Eight Locals To Be Featured On HBO’s Hard Knocks Series

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – HBO and the NFL announced the two NFL teams that would be featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks television series during preseason.
The two Los Angeles teams, Chargers and Rams will be highlighted on the series this year. The series will debut August 10 at 8 p.m. MT exclusively on HBO.
Eight players with local ties are either on the Chargers or Rams’ rosters.
This year, #HardKnocks heads to Los Angeles.

Locals On The Chargers Roster
Five local stars are on the Los Angeles Chargers and all come from different schools in the state of Utah.
Former BYU CB Michael Davis will enter his fourth season with the Chargers after signing with the team in 2017 as an undrafted free agent. Last season, Davis had two interceptions, 9 pass deflections and 39 tackles in 12 games played.
Starting offensive tackle Sam Tevi played for the University of Utah before joining the Chargers as a sixth round pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. Tevi will be in his fourth NFL season, all with the Chargers.
Former Utah State LB Nick Vigil will enter his first season with the Chargers in 2020 after signing as a free agent. He spent the first four seasons of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Andrew Vollert played college football at Weber State and is now in his second season with the Chargers but missed the entire 2019 season due to injury.
Former Orem High School Safety Alohi Gilman was taken by the Chargers in the sixth round with the 186th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Locals On The Rams Roster
Three local stars are on the Los Angeles Rams roster and all come from different schools in the state of Utah.
Former Utah Safety Terrell Burgess was taken in the third round with the 104th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Rams.
Dayan Lake (Ghanwoloku) is on the Rams roster after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent during the off-season.
Former Weber State DE Jonah Williams will try to make the Rams roster after joining the team as an undrafted free agent.
