Utah skier Guro Jordheim received the Pac-12 medal for the women’s side after being named the 2020 USCSCA women’s Nordic Skier of the Year award. She is a two-time RMISA women’s Nordic Athlete of the Year, a two-time league MVP and a four-time first team All-RMISA. She finished third in the 5-km freestyle at the 2020 NCAA Championships where she finished her career with seven All-America honors. Jordheim missed the opportunity to compete for a career maximum eight after the remainder of the championships were cancelled.
She finished her career with 17 career race wins and 29 career podium finishes while leading the Utes to two NCAA Championships in 2017 and 2019. Jordheim graduated from Utah with a degree in mathematics.
Burgess is the fourth football player to win the Pac-12 medal, joining defensive end Derrick Shelby in 2012, defensive end Hunter Dimick in 2017 and linebacker Chase Hansen in 2019.
Jordheim is the second woman from the ski team to win the Pac-12 medal. The other recipient was Maria Graefnings in 2012.
