SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah gymnastics great MyKayla Skinner attempted to teach her husband Jonas Harmer how to do gymnastics.
They began the session by stretching and Harmer had a difficult time duplicating the stretches that MyKayla displayed.
After that, Harmer attempted to do the splits. Skinner posted the full video of her teaching her 6’6 husband how to do gymnastics.
So I finally got my husband to admit that gymnastics is hard 😂 it may have taken an entire day of filming but it was worth it. Watch his attempts and try to not laugh https://t.co/Sm7l6Nr4Ps

Once the stretching concluded, the couple went to the first event, the bars. Problem is that Harmer is too heavy for the big bar and the gym was afraid he would break the bar so he went to a shorter one. Harmer attempted to go around the bar twice but fell on the second time around.
The couple then did some cartwheels and hand stands.
Part 2 will be released next week where they finish the floor and then move on to beam and vault.
The full video was good fun with the couple while Skinner trains for the Olympics next year.
Skinner was selected to compete at the International Gymnix meet in Montreal where she helped the United States team win gold and she placed second in the all-around. She was scheduled to join the United States team in the 2020 Summer Olympic Games before they were postponed due to COVID-19.
