SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott’s level of concern that not all conference teams will be able to play football this fall is none at all.
Scott joined ESPN broadcaster and SEC analyst Paul Finebaum on the “Paul Finebaum Show” on Tuesday and was asked about the level of concern that not all of the teams in the Pac-12 will be able to play football in the fall.
“At this stage, I don’t have that concern,” Scott said.

There is one concern that the commissioner brought up in the interview and that was having a common set of safety protocols across all conferences for non-conference games.
“I think you’ll want a level of confidence that the team on the other side of the field has followed a similar protocol,” Scott stated.

Utah is scheduled to face BYU in their season opener on Thursday, September 3 at Rice-Eccles Stadium. The Utes’ other two non-conference games include a trip to Wyoming and a home game with Montana State.
Last week, Scott appeared on CNN and said that the conference feels athletes are safer back on campus.
