SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The University of Utah seems to be re-loading on defense, despite having to replace nine starters. Trey Reynolds, the seventh-best linebacker out of the state of Arizona just recently committed to the U, despite having interest from many schools.
His offer sheet is impressive, to say the least. Schools such as Oklahoma State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Oregon, Washington, UCLA among others were vying for the signature of Reynolds.
Ultimately, the three-star prospect chose Utah.
Excited to announce that I am committed to the University of Utah! Thank you to everyone who has helped me through the process and the incredible Utah staff! @SafetyPride @Colton_Swan @Utah_Football pic.twitter.com/QDstaQKKqk

As a junior at Queen Creek High School, Reynolds notched 159 total tackles, averaging 12.2 tackles a game. To further exemplify his athleticism, Reynolds also played quarterback.
Linebacker coach, Colton Swan, is responsible for the commitment of Reynolds.
University of Utah recruiting insider, and co-host of the It’s Utah’s World Podcast, Steve Bartle believes that “Reynolds is an absolute treat to watch, a throwback linebacker of sorts, he’s a prototypical middle backer that is strong coming downhill but also shows very good feel in coverage.”
