SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah football is ranked in the top 15 in Pro Football Focus’ way-too-early power rankings.
PFF put out their way-too-early top 25 rankings on Wednesday using the PFF Elo system which is the base power metric for their NCAA simulation with allowances for recruiting rankings, returning players and market information.
The Utes are No. 15 on their power rankings and are the second-highest ranked school in the Pac-12 behind Oregon (No. 12). Four conference teams cracked the top 25 with Washington (No. 18) and USC (No. 24) joining the Utes and Ducks.
Utah is coming off of an 11-3 season in 2019 with a trip to the Pac-12 Championship game after winning the south division for the second straight season. They lost to Oregon in the title game as well as to Texas in the Alamo Bowl.
