Premier League Clubs Set To Return To Training This Week

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The English Premier League players will return to the training pitch this week after the shareholders unanimously voted to return to small group training. The vote came following the opening weekend of the Bundesliga, Germany’s top-flight soccer league.
“Step One of the Return to Training Protocol enables squads to train while maintaining social distancing. Contact training is not yet permitted.”

As expected, very strict safety protocols will be required to be met to ensure the best possible health and safety for the players. Details on the specific protocols have not been released.
It is still very unclear as to when the Premier League will resume matches, as of now, the return to training is the priority. The first step has been met, now the league will look to further advance their ability to further develop the planning of returning to matchplay.
The first phase of training will include social distancing guidelines while training in small groups.
