SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – If Major League Soccer is to return in 2020, Real Salt Lake striker Giuseppe Rossi hopes that the games are “meaningful” and will be worth league points. A trip to Orlando for a tournament will not suffice.
However, over the past two weeks, RSL players have been given the green light from the league office and the state of Utah to return to the training facility, albeit on a modified basis.
“It is great to be back,” Rossi said. “To be able to get back on the training pitch and knock a soccer ball around and to live like a professional soccer player should has been nice.”

The Last Dance
Rossi, who has played alongside some of the world’s best soccer players throughout his illustrious career, has been very vocal on Twitter when it comes to admiring The Last Dance docuseries.
Michael Jordan has motivated Rossi throughout his career.
“The way he strives to be better, how he does everything he can to win, is very inspiring to me,” Rossi said.
Goosebump. Life changing. Thank you #TheLastDance. Thank you MJ

Staying Fit During Quarantine
Rossi was able to stay fit and healthy during the darkest coronavirus days by riding a bike that was provided by the club. Although it was difficult not to be able to spend time outside running around with his teammates, Rossi acknowledged the help the club provided to best assure the players can stay as fit as possible while being stuck at home.
For Rossi, this was very important, as he was returning from a muscle strain that he suffered in training prior to the home opener against the New York Red Bulls.
The first two games were promising to Rossi, who is excited to see what RSL can muster when the season returns. He enjoyed the mentality the team took going into both games, he was also impressed with how his teammates stuck together even when things were not going as well as they would have liked.
