Malone answered the question with a simple no.
The panel was then asked if they knew a player on their team was going to be really good when they figured out how to play in the NBA. Malone recalled an time when the Jazz and the Los Angeles Lakers played against each other. Greg Ostertag was new to the league but he and Shaquille O’Neal got into a fight during a game.
“Shaq, you messed up Ostertag’s career,” Malone said.
When Stockton was asked that same question, he didn’t say one single player.
“I think everybody was a great player,” Stockton said.
The panel had many players going in and out of the stream as it was broadcast on periscope on the NBA Twitter page. Malone, Stockton and Rashad were joined by Charles Barkley, Shawn Kemp, Dikembe Mutombo, Mitch Richmond, David Robinson, Dominique Wilkins, Clyde Drexler, Shaquille O’Neal, Gary Payton, Dell Curry, Reggie Miller, Patrick Ewing, Glen Rice and many more.
