SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah running back Zack Moss has a prime opportunity to have an immediate impact with the Buffalo Bills.
Moss was taken by the Bills in the third round with the 86th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
ESPN.com has Moss listed as the backup running back to Devin Singletary.
Other Running Backs On Roster
Singletary is entering his second year in the NFL after the Bills selected him in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Sitting behind Moss on the depth chart is former Alabama running back T.J. Yeldon who is entering the final year of his contract with the Bills.
Finally, the fourth string running back for Buffalo is nine-year NFL veteran Taiwan Jones. He is in the final year of his contract.
Moss was the only running back that the Bills selected in the 2020 NFL Draft. He will wear No. 20 with Buffalo.

The Bills did not resign longtime NFL running back Frank Gore and allowed him to hit the free agency market and recently signed with the New York Jets.
Contract Details
Moss has not signed a contract with the Bills yet. That will happen in the coming weeks. According to Spotrac.com, Moss is projected to make $4,163,502 over the course of his rookie contract. His signing bonus is projected to be worth $914,417 and using an estimated $838,604 of the Bills’ cap.
The former Ute can negotiate certain portions of his contract but some of it is set in stone because of the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement.

Prediction
In today’s NFL, teams are now using multiple running backs in their offense rather than just one guy to carry the load. The running game in the Bills’ offense will be centered around Singletary and Moss.
Moss has a unique skill set where he is used to being an every down back that has speed, size and toughness in every run he makes. He is going to make Buffalo happy for a lot of years to come beginning with his rookie season in 2020.
