Donovan Mitchell Responds To Father Of Boy Killed In Motorcycle Accident

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Donovan Mitchell responded on Twitter to the father of a 10-year-old boy who was killed in a motorcycle accident in Eagle Mountain. Shane Johnson, father of Traygen Shane Johnson tweeted at Mitchell with the tragic news of his son’s passing. Johnson said his son was a fan of the Jazz star and will be cremated in Mitchell’s jersey.
“My son loved you!” Johnson tweeted, “He wanted to be like you! He was killed in a motorcycle crash this week. I just thought you should know we are Cremating him in your jersey and he would have loved to meet you! If you would find it in your hear To spare a few moments to reach out.”
Johnson’s motorcycle collided with a tree in on Tuesday afternoon. The father of the boy included two photos of his son wearing Mitchell’s No. 45 jersey in his tweet.

Mitchell responded to Johnson on twitter extending his condolences for the father’s loss late Friday night.
“My condolences man this breaks my heart!!!” Mitchell tweeted, “Please send your prayers to this family! Please DM me your number ASAP .”

A GoFundMe account is set up to help the Johnson family pay for funeral expenses.
“Traygen was a super sweet ten-year-old boy.” The account reads, “His contagious smile went on for days. He loved playing and watching sports baseball, basketball etc. Traygen loved attending games of his beloved Utah Jazz.”
