Laie, Hawai’i Residents Hold Hour Long Parade To Celebrate Alohi Gilman, Bradlee Anae Getting Drafted

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Residents in Laie, Hawai’i held an hour long parade to celebrate their two locals getting drafted into the NFL.
Bradlee Anae played college football at the University of Utah before being taken by the Dallas Cowboys in the fifth round, 179th overall pick.
Alohi Gilman played high school football at Orem High School before playing safety at Notre Dame. He was taken in the sixth round with the 186th overall pick to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Gilman and Anae both played at least one season of high school football at Kahuku High School and they live one block away from each other in Laie, Hawai’i.

Last season in 2019 as a senior, Anae exploded for 13 sacks and 14 tackles for loss which led to being named an All-American and first team All-Pac-12.
Anae broke the school record for most career sacks with 30. He also won the Morris Trophy.
During his time in South Bend, the safety played in 26 games for the Irish. He recorded 169 total tackles, 91 solo tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions, 6 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery.
