BYU Grad Mike Weir’s Girlfriend’s Daughter Returns Home Following Weeks In Hospital
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – After spending the past three weeks in the hospital, that included multiple surgeries and 24/7 monitoring, Mike Weir’s girlfriend’s daughter, Brielle Money, has finally been released from the hospital and has returned home.
Weir, who is currently dating former Bachelor contestant Michelle Money, has been by his partner’s side throughout what has been a very traumatic 3 weeks.
Towards the end of March news started circulating that Brielle Money was in a coma after falling off her skateboard and hitting her head. She remained in a medically induced comatose state for two weeks as her loved ones hung on to every minute that she was being kept alive.
Fortunately, despite multiple setbacks, Brielle awoke and on Monday, April 13 was moved into the Neuroscience Trauma Unit. When she first woke up, she was only able to move her fingers and would only make facial expressions by raising her eyebrows.
However, her progress gradually improved and on Friday, April 24, she returned home much to the delight of her family and neighborhood.
