Green Bay Packers Sign Former Utah State DE Tipa Galeai As Undrafted Free Agent

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Green Bay Packers signed former Utah State defensive end Tipa Galeai as an undrafted free agent following the 2020 NFL Draft.
Galeai joined former Aggies quarterback Jordan Love as a member of the Packers. Love was selected by Green Bay with the No. 26 overall pick in the NFL Draft on Thursday, April 23.
The former Utah State defensive lineman is headed to Wisconsin to join a defense that helped the Packers to 13-3 record and an appearance in the NFC title game in 2019.

Tipa Galeai’s Collegiate Career
Prior to his time with the Aggies, Galeai played for the TCU Horned Frogs. He joined Utah State prior to the 2017 season, which he had to sit out as a redshirt.
As a junior in 2018, Galeai recorded 64 total tackles, 30 solo tackles, 10.5 sacks, 14.0 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles, 7 QB hurries, 3 pass breakups, and 2 interceptions.
In his final season at USU in 2019, Galeai had 55 total tackles, 30 solo tackles, 5.0 sacks, 9.0 tackles for loss, 1 fumble recovery, and 8 QB hurries.
Galeai earned Second-Team All-Mountain West in 2018 and 2019.
