Utah CB Javelin Guidry Signs Undrafted Free Agent Deal With New York Jets
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah cornerback Javelin Guidry will look for a roster spot in New York after signing a free agent deal with the Jets.
The Utes had seven players selected in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The speedster is headed to New York to join a defense that had a 7-9 record in 2019.
Javelin Guidry’s Collegiate Career
The Murrieta, California native started his college career 2017 where he played in all 13 games and started in four games at nickel. He had a 14-yard interception return for a touchdown against Arizona.
Guidry’s sophomore season in 2018 saw him play in 14 games with 9 starts. He racked up 42 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 9 pass breakups, 10 passes defended and one interception. Guidry was named Pac-12 Honorable Mention.

Last season in 2019 as a junior, Guidry played in all 14 games and started in 12 contests at nickelback. He had 48 tackles and 6 pass breakups which led to another Pac-12 Honorable Mention.
After his junior season in 2019, Guidry decided to skip his senior season and enter the NFL Draft.

He measured the following at the NFL Scouting Combine:
Weight: 191 lbs.
Arms: 31 1/4″
At the Combine, Guidry recorded the following results:
40-yard Dash: 4.29 seconds
Bench Press: 21 reps
